Thank you to those of you who checked in to see how we're doing. It's been a world-wind 3 or 4 weeks.
My HCG went down to 2 (anything below 3 is considered zero) on 2/23. Yeah. That was good. And much quicker than the last time. Whew.
Then we had a follow up apt with the doctor on 3/9. On paper, there was no explanation for what happened to my cycle. None. So that wasn't so great. But she said we're switching protocols. I loved her rephrasing: "We've been doing vanilla, vanilla with chocolate chips, vanilla with rum raisins, but now we're going to do chocolate with chocolate chips." Also, there is one doctor that did the last 2 transfers with the disasters blood levels and I just feel it's sort of bad karma if he does it again. She also said if she was around, she'd be willing to come up and do the transfer for me.
I went into the appointment thinking this was never going to work again, but now I'm at least a little hopeful.
Because we have 2 vacations planned in the next 2 months, I believe we'll try with the next period/cycle. Actual timing yet to be determined.
I also opted to throw in acupuncture for the first time. I went yesterday and thought it went well. Nothing to compare it to, but it wasn't as scary or un-relaxing as I though it might be. And I found the lady very professional and nice.
And I'm going to work on getting healthier, eating healthier, etc. Any tips on good healthy recipes would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm really bad at blog reading these days... but there are a couple exciting things going on Congrats friends! - Mo is still pregnant! Rebekah is adopting a cute little boy! Lisa is moving (although go wish her some luck, her housing just fell through)! Courtney is on the eve of having little #2!
I'm sure there is a ton of other stuff I've missed... sorry!! I've got over 200 blog posts to read, so sorry if I missed yours right now.

And then for anyone contemplating adoption, I know we are after the recent events, I got this cute quote today. I know my heart isn't where it needs to be yet, but this was so cute.
Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.A little girl said, "I know all about adoption, I was adopted.""What does it mean to be adopted?", asked another child "It means", said the girl, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy!"

Signing off now.

Yay for updates and such! Glad to hear you are at least you are a little bit hopeful. I'm hoping and praying for you. And acupuncture? It can't hurt anything. If nothing else, you get some "me time" in. Take care of yourself!
Nice to hear from you. I really like that your RE is mixing things up. Mine did that- he never repeated protocols, but was always tweaking and trying to get a better result, which I'm sure helped us get our E.

I've been thinking of you, friend. I'm sorry about all that you've been through these past few weeks/months. Just want you to know that I'm praying for you and hoping with you that another baby will come. Sending lots of love!
Sorry about the failed cycle. Glad to hear that you are jumping on right back. Do let me know your dates, we might be cycling together.
I have lots of healthy recipes posted on my blog!! I have two different quinoa recipes I would highly recommend as it's a high protein food for a grain, and I remember when I was going through treatments reading that good protein was good for egg development, which was my big concern as we kept having fertilization issues with our IVF cycles.
Hang in there and lots of good luck!!!!
How's it going dear?
